*LEO GAMA WILL FOREVER BE MISSED* SSN- Statement: 19 September 2018
The Swaziland Solidarity Network [SSN] is shocked and deeply saddened as the untimely and sudden passing of a great human being, legal mind and friend of our struggle, Mr. Leo Mduduzi Gama. Gama was our first port of call whenever the Dictatorial Monarchial regime used the judicial system to persecute members of our Mass Democratic Movement. The number of highly sensitive legal cases he fought on our behalf are too many to name. Forever ready to take up a case without guarantee of payment, he took his job as a calling. His passing has thus left us with a void which we will not be able to fill anytime soon. Even if we do fill it, there was only one Leo, Our Leo, who worked tirelessly to free members of our Mass Democratic Movement when other lawyers wouldn’t do it.
