The one in IslamHouse seems to have the most free license. There is nothing explicit about commercial/non-commercial use. Now I'm not proficient in audio editing. What I need is someone to cut out the needed duas, and convert them to mp3 or even better to ogg. wa jazakakum Ullahu khairan... Btw, I was thinking of something: the basmallah sound should be rather used as the login sound, not the GDM startup sound, for those reasons: 1) a muslim is supposed to say "bism Illah" when starting to do something, now it can be argued that wether reminder of "bism Illah" would be better before the user enters the username/password, or after that, but I think the following reasons would make the scale of "after the user enters username/password" to tip, 2) for machines that configured to auto-login a user (common in single-user machines), the user won't be able to hear the basmallah if it is a GDM startup sound. 3) imagine this use-case (which is common with me), the user powers up the machine, the goes to do something until the boot finishes, so it is very probable that the GDM will be started (& hence the sound played), without the user hearing "bism Illah", while a user most probably won't leave the machine after entering username/password. and I think that there's no need to make a GDM startup sound. -- أحمد المحمودي (Ahmed El-Mahmoudy) Digital design engineer GPG KeyID: 0x9DCA0B27 (@ subkeys.pgp.net) GPG Fingerprint: 087D 3767 8CAC 65B1 8F6C 156E D325 C3C8 9DCA 0B27 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~sabily.team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~sabily.team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
