assalamu alaykum, I'm developing a "muezzin bot" that could send prayer reminders by instant messaging (on jabber). An alpha version is available, just add [email protected] to your contact list (for example in google Talk or pidgin (select xmpp for the protocol)), then you can configure your location and prayer times calculation method, and display prayer times of the day. Alert reminders will be implemented for the beta version, but if you could test it right now it would be helpful.
I've used the firefox "pray times" addon code (converted from javascript to c#), thanks to Hamid Zarrabi-Zadeh. I've also added the "UOIF, France" calculation method (which uses 12°) as it's the one used here in France.
