assalamu aleykum

I agree with Saber, if I remember correct one goal of ubuntu 11.10 would be wayland(still in development) (will replace x.org). And i read a few days ago that, there are a lot improvments (useability and functions)for unity to be implemented after natty release. It would be better to offer natty with gnome2 and for those who want to test natty we could provide an instruction or set our own ppa if we could customize unity by adding something like islamic menü or islamic apps as submenu or something else.

wassalam

I think that Gnome 2 should be default for official badr release, and in the other hand, we try to make badr release with unity, for testing and we could see how users react with the new interface, so we could have a clear idea about using unity AND trying unity at the same time !

+1
Gnome2

but if OK with Unity we need team to contribute @ maintenance. before this i are similar with unity but just end user not developer. so i see as user and critic.

I am more inclined to just whitelisting Minbar, Monajat & Hijri (in
addition to Ubuntu's defaults).

I would like to add that: if Ubuntu settled on using Gnome classic, then
we will do the same. The question above is in the case Ubuntu decided to
actually use Unity.

I must ask about this one.
