السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I feel requsting to ditch Gazwat name is defeatist. They were to bring people from dark to light from hell to paradise, do you know anything better than that a human could do?
Somebody lack of information is not a cause for changing the name. Don't be defeatist.
