I just compiled and installed 0.44 with no major problems (I have used
0.43 before). One little problem that was also there in 0.43:
I had to change the Sablot/command/Makefile to include "-liconv" in the
line "sabcmd_LDADD = ...". This should probably changed somewhere else
so the Makefile generated by configure is correct, but I don't know
enough about autoconf/automake to know where to put what. I am not
using Sablotron through any other tool so there may be more linking
problems elsewhere.
After the change everything worked well so far. I am running an old
Linux (Kernel 2.0.33, SuSE 5.2 or 5.3) and have installed iconv from
source.
