Sorry for being so unspecific. As in the README suggested, I typed the
following:
C:\temp\XML-Sablotron-0.43>perl makefile.pl -s c:\temp\XML-Sablotron-0.43
and got back:
Unknown option: s
Note (probably harmless): No library found for '-lsablot'
Note (probably harmless): No library found for '-lxmlparse'
Note (probably harmless): No library found for '-lxmltok'
Usage: xsubpp [-v] [-C++] [-except] [-prototypes] [-noversioncheck]
[-nolinenumb
ers] [-nooptimize] [-noinout] [-noargtypes] [-s pattern] [-typemap
typemap]... f
ile.xs
Writing Makefile for XML::Sablotron
With this in place, I typed
C:\temp\XML-Sablotron-0.43>nmake
There was a whole string of messages flying by, but I catched only the lat
few lines:
blib\arch\auto\XML\Sablotron\Sablotron.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 16
unresolved
externals
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~3\VC98\BIN\link.exe' : return
cod
e '0x460'
Stop.
I am using VC++ on Win98, BTW.
The line:
Usage: xsubpp [-v] ...
in the output from MakeMaker seems suspicious to me. It looks like the
syntax in the call to xsupp was wrong, which caused the display of this
line.
Anybody able to help me?
All the best,
Christian Wittern
