Hi,

You are right that indent="yes" doesn't work currently (this is the
reason). Though the specs is pretty permissive when speaking on output
methods, it would be very useful to generate a more legible output. This
is supposed to be improved in the future.

Currently, you can wrap lines either using literal line ends in your
data or using
<xsl:text>
</xsl:text>
in stylesheets.
