Tom, I've noticed this when using PiXSL as well. It seems like there
is an error reported because the processing simply stops in the above
case).

: 0 neotron@huitzilopochtli sabcmd foo.xsl foo.xml
Error [code:195] [URI:file:/home/neotron/foo.xsl] [line:1]
[node:element '<xsl:stylesheet>']
  missing required XSLT attribute
: 1 neotron@huitzilopochtli sabcmd -v

sabcmd 0.50 (December 19, 2000)
copyright (C) 2000 Ginger Alliance (www.gingerall.com)
[...]

So it seems like 0.50 treats it as an error, but reports none and
stops the processing. Sounds likely?
