The easiest way is to have iconv installed, but you're right that you
would need to recompile anyway. 

A slightly harder way is to hack encoding.cpp (I think it's easy to see
what needs to be modified). You'll have to compile as well, though.

A future version of Sablotron will contain a light-weight standalone
conversion library for use in absence of iconv; this will surely include
cp1251 and KOI-8.
