Min,
versions prior to 0.52 would most probably leak memory in case of any
processing error (be it a parsing error or a call to a non-existent
template, say). I don't think that any big leaks occur during normal
(error-free) operation.
In any case, I recommend upgrading to 0.52 (as soon as the assertion fault
is resolved).
