I have piped processing where the output of one XSLT becomes the input for
the next XSLT.  Can this error be caused by the previously reported problem
that the output of Sablotron has empty line in the beginning?

Expat reports this error if your external entity contains the <?xml...?>
declaration, but the declaration does not appear as the very start of the
file (e.g. is preceded by a blank line).
