We have been requesting Chennai Metro for a while to have a space (on same
lines as the fire assembly points outside the building) where people with
reduced mobility / blind can assemble for first responder rescue, given
that lifts will not be functioning.

This would be ideally near a staircase and floor marked with evacuation
chair and stretcher rescue device on wall brackets and infographic
instructions with QR code adjacent. Would also be connected on the tactile
path - perhaps a particular audio guidance (escalator type clicking?) could
guide blind people to it.

This was the reminder received yesterday - ideally this feature should
enter fire code.
