~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Toy-Kit Architecture" Eine temporäre Skulptur im Rahmen des Viertelfestival NÖ - Weinviertel 2009 Ein Projekt von Rainer Prohaska 16. Mai - 4. Juli 2009 Eröffnung: Samstag, 16. Mai 2009, 17:00 Uhr durch Eva Grumeth 1200 Wien; Rechtes Donauufer, Auffahrt auf Nordsteg; Informationen unter www.rainer-prohaska.net/toykit.htm Mit "Toy-Kit Architectures" schafft der Künstler Rainer Prohaska temporäre Skulpturen aus vorgefertigten Elementen, die aus der Baubranche bekannt sind, und verändert damit das Erscheinungsbild von Landschaften und von bestehenden Bauwerken. Im Laufe der Zeit entwickelt sich daraus nicht etwa eine Objektsammlung, sondern ein Baukasten, der Schritt für Schritt erweitert wird und der aus universal verwendbaren Grundelementen immer neue Konstruktionen entstehen lässt. Dieses System, inspiriert von Spielzeugbaukästen wie Lego oder Matador, verwendet Zurrgurte als Verbindungselemente. Nach Ende der Installation verschwinden die Konstruktionen spurlos. Die Einzelteile der Skulptur finden später Verwendung für neue Arbeiten. Es verbleiben lediglich Dokumentationen anhand von Fotos und Skizzen. Im Rahmen des "Viertelfestival NÖ" wird im öffentlichen Raum eine temporäre Skulptur aus H20-Schalungsträgern gebaut, die sich am Weg von Wien ins Weinviertel befindet. Das Projekt wird unterstützt von SCHROLL BAU GmbH & CoKG Ein Projekt des Viertelfestival NÖ - Weinviertel 2009 www.viertelfestival-noe.at Das Festival wird gefördert durch das: "Bundesministerium für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur"; "Land NÖ" Mit besten Grüßen Rainer Prohaska www.rainer-prohaska.net Produktion: Eva Grumeth / Grundvier www.grundvier.com Aktuelle und kommende Projekte: - MAK Schindler Stipendium; Los Angeles / USA; 06. May - 4. July 2009 Opening: Saturday, 16. May 2009, 05:00 p.m. by Eva Grumeth 1200 Vienna, Austria; Right shore of the river Danube, driveway to Nordsteg; Information at www.rainer-prohaska.net/toykit.htm With "Toy-Kit Architectures" artist Rainer Prohaska creates temporary sculptures from prefabricated elements, well known from the construction industry, and changes thereby the appearance of landscapes and of existing buildings. He doesn't develop a collection of objects, but a component system, which is extended step by step, and which allows to create different constructions from universally usable basic elements. This system, inspired by toy component systems such as Lego or Matador, uses tension belts as liaison vehicles. After their existence the constructions disappear without trace. The individual parts of the sculpture will be used for new works. The only remaining elements are the documentation with photos and sketches. A temporary sculpture made of H20 form works will be shown during "Viertelfestival NÖ" in public space. It is located on the way from Vienna to the Weinviertel.
