Dear friends
The call for entries for the next Rome Film Festival (9th to 17th of
November 2012) is currently open and if you're working on a new
project which might be considered for a premiere in Rome, we are
pleased to invite you to submit your film (including
works-in-progress).
The redesigned Rome Film Festival will include CinemaXXI (21st
century cinema), a new competitive section focusing on works that
reflect the continuous reinvention of cinema within the contemporary
visual scene, with no restriction of duration or genre. Feature,
medium and short length films, fiction, documentary, animation,
experimental films and 'hybrids', all are welcome.
CinemaXXI aims to create a rich space of collision and meeting for
cutting edge explorations in moving image and to spotlight excellence
within the context of an A-grade festival. It begins from the premise
that a broad range of different practices, both aesthetically and in
terms of methods of production, can construct a wider picture of
contemporary cinema.
The works selected will benefit from an extensive international press
and media exposure, and their premieres will take place in the
magnificent Renzo Piano designed Auditorium complex.
The official submission deadline is September 14th 2012.
Deadline extensions are possible but should be previously agreed.
