We demand our rights! Equal rights for all!
Solidarity with the refugee movement! Stop repression!

Vienna-Westbahnhof big demonstration!
With the march from Traiskirchen to Vienna, the Refugee Protest Camp and the
move into Vienna Votiv church, refugees have started to fight for their own
rights. They couldn’t be silenced, not by blaming in the media, not by threats
from the interior ministry, not by the cold. They have fled from wars,
persecution, environmental destruction and poverty. But still, they are
oppressed in this country: They are not allowed to work, have no access to
education, are threatened by deportation and are kept in lagers like in
prisons. Asylum seekers are even denied the most basic rights. Their situation
of discrimination concerns all of us: Refugees are abused by economic
enterprises for illegal jobs and for keeping salaries low. But Asylum seekers
are not the reason for social problems – politics use them as scapegoats, real
solutions are blocked by racist propaganda.
We want to scandalise this bad situation on an international level. Every year,
thousands are dying when they try to get to Europe. During the last few years,
the EU has increased the budget for the anti-refugee border agency FRONTEX
tenfold, while brutal financial cuts in public sectors and social welfare
systems produce poverty and suffering. On the 16th of February, we are going to
demonstrate in solidarity with the refugee struggle in Austria and everywhere
in the world. We are going to show international solidarity against racism and
right wing propaganda of hatred. Social problems can only be solved if all of
us have equal rights. Come and join the demo! Bring Your friends, families and
colleagues! Equal rights for all of us!
The refugees struggling in Austria need a strong signal of solidarity against
the threats, the repression and the attempts to isolate their struggle. Come
and show that the demands of the refugees concern all of us! Kommt und zeigt,
dass die Forderungen der Flüchtlinge uns alle angehen!

Demands of the refugee protest:
-Access to labour market for asylum seekers!
-Stop deportation!
-Free choice of the place to live and access to public housing – no transfer
against the will of the persons concerned!
-Independent investigation of all negative asylum decisions!
-Basic social welfare for all asylum seekers, no matter what legal status they
have!
-Recognition of socio-economic reasons of flight!
If you cannot fulfill the demands of the refugees, wipe out at least the finger
prints from your data bases and let the people move on. All people have the
right to their future!

Wien-Westbahnhof Großdemonstration!
Mit dem Marsch von Traiskirchen nach Wien, dem Refugee Protest Camp und dem
Einzug in die Wiener Votivkirche haben die Flüchtlinge begonnen, selbst für
ihre Rechte zu kämpfen. Sie haben sich nicht einschüchtern lassen, weder von
Medienhetze, Drohungen des Innenministeriums, noch von der Kälte. Sie sind vor
Krieg, Umweltzerstörung und Armut geflohen.
Trotzdem werden sie hier unterdrückt: Sie dürfen nicht arbeiten, haben kaum
Zugang zu Bildung, werden mit Abschiebung bedroht und in Lagern wie in
Gefängnissen gehalten. AsylwerberInnen werden selbst die grundlegensten Rechte
verwehrt. Ihre Rechtlosigkeit trifft uns alle: Sie werden von Unternehmen
missbraucht- als illegale Arbeitskräfte und LohndrückerInnen.
AsylwerberInnen sind nicht schuld an sozialen Problemen – sie werden von der
Politik zu Sündenböcken gemacht, echte Lösungen durch rassistische Blendungen
blockiert.
Wir wollen auf internationaler Ebene auf diesen Missstand aufmerksam machen.
Jedes Jahr sterben Tausende beim Versuch nach Europa zu gelangen. Die EU hat
das Budget der Anti-Flüchtlings Grenzschutzorganisation Frontex in den letzten
Jahren verzehnfacht. - während die brutale Sparpolitik der Mitgliedsstaaten
Menschen zu tausenden in den Selbstmord treibt. Am 16.02. demonstrieren wir. In
Solidarität mit den kämpfenden Flüchtlinge in Österreich und dem Rest der Welt.
Wir stellen dem Rassismus und der rechten Hetze internationale Solidarität
entgegen. Nur, wenn wir alle gleiche Rechte haben, können soziale Probleme
gelöst werden. Komm auch du zur Demo! Bring deine Familie, deine FreundInnen,
deine KollegInnen mit! Gleiche Rechte für uns alle!
Die kämpfenden Flüchtlinge in Österreich brauchen jetzt ein starkes Signal der
Solidarität gegen die Drohungen, die Repression und die Versuche, ihren Kampf
zu isolieren. Kommt und zeigt, dass die Forderungen der Flüchtlinge uns alle
angehen!

Schluss mit der Repression!
Forderungen des Flüchtlingsprotests:
-Zugang zum Arbeitsmarkt für AsylwerberInnen!
-Schluss mit Abschiebungen!
-Freie Wahl des Wohnorts und Zugang zu öffentlichem Wohnbau – keine Transfers
gegen den Willen der Betroffenen!
-Unabhängige Überprüfung aller negativen Asylentscheidungen!
-Grundversorgung für alle AsylwerberInnen unabhängig vom Rechtsstatus!
-Anerkennung sozioökonomischer Fluchtgründe!
Wenn ihr die Forderungen der Flüchtlinge nicht erfüllen könnt, dann löscht
zumindest die Fingerabdrücke aus euren Datenbanken und lasst die Menschen
weiterziehen. Alle haben ein Recht auf ihre Zukunft!
