...but sometimes necessary, e.g. when travelling around (and no (stable) internet connection), I sometimes (often) sync all the folders to my laptop before to have it locally, then grade offline, then sync back. To manage the folder names, I have some (ugly) script, which extracts the information from the course file and creates symlinks.
