Sorry about that... I usually monitor via top and kill things before I'm done, but I forgot that time.

I strongly agree, though. This is an extreme annoyance. There has to be a way to minimize this problem. Having SAGE clean up after a previous run when it starts up again would be a good start, provided we make sure it doesn't kill other things that are running.

Yes.  Remember that maxima's latex typesetting bizarrely omits
crucial multiplication signs between integers.  I never noticed
that but you did.  It's now fixed for SAGE.
