I'll vote -1 for accommodating degrees, and +1 for examples in the  
doctests like

To take the sin of 45 degrees, type
sage: sin(45 * pi/180)
1/sqrt(2)

I think anything we do that's not super-annoying to most SAGE users  
will require documentation and we might as well show how to do it the  
"right" way.
