In addition to download statistics, I would also be interested in seeing what Sage's usage numbers look like when used as a web service. I started playing with Google analytics recently and what comes to mind is to place a small tracking script in the notebook similar to the script that Google analytics has web sites place into their web pages. It might even be possible to actually use Google analytics to track global Sage notebook usage.
