Hello folks,
2.8.14 is out and so far seems to be going rather well - we are not
aware of any build failures so far [knock on wood].
But the Sage release cycle never stops, 2.8.15 is planned for Nov.
30th, i.e. one day before Bug Day 6. The main proposed features are
* Singular 3-0-4
* PolyBoRi?
* ATLAS BLAS/Lapack
Josh Kantor has fixes all known issues with my ATLAS.spkg, so I will
stick that one in first and hopefully with the help of Josh resolve
all build issues with numpy, scipy, GSL and LinBox.
malb hopefully can do the update to Singular 3-0-4 while burcin
hopefully has PolyBoRi ready to go. citty also has updates to mpfi
ready to go in, so there should be plenty to do.
I have assigned all tickets with patches and bundles against 2.8.15,
but we need reviews, so if you have some time please review some
patches and report back here. If we ever get email notification with
trac working this won't be needed any more [hint, hint].
I will chair this release unless somebody else wants to do this
release. Putting together a release is a fun experience :)
alpha0 should happen in about 24-36 hours, depending on how the ATLAS
merge goes.
Cheers,
Michael
