I downloaded http://www.sagemath.org/SAGEbin/linux/64bit/sage-2.9.2-ubuntu64-opteron-x86_64-Linux.tar.gz and untarred and got a different error message: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/sage-2.9.2$ ./sage ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | SAGE Version 2.9.2, Release Date: 2008-01-05 | | Type notebook() for the GUI, and license() for information. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sage.bin: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by sage.bin) sage.bin: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by sage.bin) python: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by python) Though similar in almost all respects. > Anyway, in about 15 minutes there will be a fresh binary of 2.9.2 that I built > on sage.math sitting in /home/was/build/sage-2.9.2/dist, and you should use > that one.
