Hi Ralf, did you try an html manual (pdf looks a bit broken)? Anyway, that part of the manual isn't strongly worded enough at the moment. Naturally you should have fortran on the system (gfortran - typically a part of gcc suite of compilers) and Python 3.11 or newer with the development components.
What OS/package system are you dealing with?
