yeahr, well, i think it was somewhere else too, but i don't remember.
the point is, i think, that this vector syntax is useful in a (high?)
school environment,where you want a quick and easy syntax(*). but i
doubt that they do diagonal matrices. But just let me emphasize that
i'm not so sure about this, if there is a real reason why it is
necessary, then it is ok with me. I'll never use or need it - and it's
really annoying if it interferes with itself...
also, i found the issue here http://bugs.python.org/issue1636 ... just
for reference.

(*) my tutoring experience is, if they have fun they do everything,
just talk to them...
