yeahr, well, i think it was somewhere else too, but i don't remember. the point is, i think, that this vector syntax is useful in a (high?) school environment,where you want a quick and easy syntax(*). but i doubt that they do diagonal matrices. But just let me emphasize that i'm not so sure about this, if there is a real reason why it is necessary, then it is ok with me.
