Well, it has been broken for a couple releases and people have been
hitting that issues, so rlm and I disabled it.

Yes, Gary is no longer interested in fixing it since it will go away
as we teach distutils to build in parallel.

Every non-standard extension (as in uses some C files for example)
needs to be added to some PBuild config file. It is also broken on OSX
since it cannot handle static libs there. Nobody cared to do it, so
it is disabled. It isn't very complicated to fix, but I have other
things to do.
