The entire library is about 4000 lines of C++ code, and I have the
impression (after five minutes looking
through the docs, etc.,) that it is a toy implementation of computer
algebra arithmetic algorithms
for the purposes of illustrating the content of the textbook.   I do
not think it would be of use to Sage,
since Sage is meant to be a serious tool for cutting edge research.

I applaud the authors of the textbook for proving GPL'd source code to
very precisely
illustrate the ideas of their book, instead of just being somewhat
vague like some authors.
