Hello folks, in order to make regression testing easier I have started building older Sage releases (+ the current one) from 3.2.3 on backwards in
/disk/scratch/mabshoff-sage-releases on sage.math. These are accessible to everybody and for example in case of 3.2.2 will be slightly patched to work around bugs like the infamous init.sage bug in case they case startup problems. I will attempt to build back to the past as far as I can since we have plenty of space on the disk array. It will probably take a couple days of CPU time, so stay tuned. I will likely document the changes and issue in some README in that directory. If there is sufficient interest we could link them all into $PATH with appropriate names, i.e sage-x,y,z would start the version from that directory. Thoughts?
