Well, given the fact that we will likely soon ship SageTeX with Sage itself is there any particular reason not to include Nick's code with default Sage? Given the number of Sage dev using Emcas [which for the record is canonically wrong since vim is the superior editor, but all you Emacs users have yet to see the true light :)] and the size it just seems like the obvious thing to do.
