Here's the line that triggers it: ax_l2_size=$((0`$sysctl_exe -n hw.l2cachesize 2>/dev/null` / 1024)) in src/m4/ax_cache_size.m4. sysctrl reports 524288 which looks about right. It seems the shell tries to interpret the value as octal because we add a leading zero. Can you try: http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/malb/spkgs/libm4ri-20090615.spkg ?
