Hi, I'm using Sage to analyze some financial data (from http://www.econ.yale.edu/~shiller/data.htm) that's only available in XLS. I installed xlrd (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/xlrd) into my local Sage and have been using it pretty productively.
I'd like to put my code on a public sagenb.com worksheet but xlrd isn't available there. I was wondering what a recommended workaround was. 1) convert to CSV and work with that 2) use another XLS importer that is available in Sage 3) ?
