1) SAGE_LOCAL is obvious. 2) I added added INCLUDE_MPFR_PATCH in http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/6453
3) SAGE_DEBUG I believe is supposed to add debug data, but is inconstant. 4) I proposed DELETE_TMP_FILES in http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/6550 but it is not implemented, as I can't get it to work.. Is there a list of what environment variables SAGE supports? Perhaps a naming convention for them too. Should they all start SAGE_ for example? That would seem most sensible, despite I've already implemetnted on that does not start SAGE_. Should CC, CXX, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD work? If so in exactly what way?
