I don't _plan_ to do any UI redesign, but I would be happy to consider doing UI reimplementation if somebody could precisely specify what changes need to be made. I iplemented the current notebook UI but I did not design -- I literally just copied the Google Docs UI from 2 years ago. Note that Google Docs now looks different from the notebook because they went through a redesign.
