I'm *really* glad you noticed this bug before it is too late!!!

Regarding fixing it, I have no idea a priori, except to figure out
what changed in the new version of ECL.  Does the issue really just
vanish by switching to the older ECL (can you test this)?  If so, it
would seem to be a bug in ECL, no?  In that case, we can ask Juan
Jose.   If you have time, I really hope you can try using the old ECL
just to see, and report back.  I'm also on irc if you want to ping me
realtime.
