I had the same error as Carlo, which I reported for the alpha4 and rc0 releases as well. I'm sort of puzzled, given the nature of the error, as to why more people don't see it.
I also had sage -t "devel/sage/doc/en/bordeaux_2008/birds_other.rst" A mysterious error (perhaps a memory error?) occurred, which may have crashed doctest.
