You don't even have to have Sage installed to use SageTex---it can use a remote Sage server like sagenb.org. See Section 5 of the documentation at http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/sagetex/sagetexpackage.pdf You just need python 2.6.
