That is accurate. Of course MPIR contains much code which did not come
from the GMP project but was written by MPIR contributors. I suppose
that is obvious enough to most people.

I agree. It's harmless and seems to be intended as a positive thing,
as I read it. If I recall correctly, it used to say something along
the lines that Sage might some day become..., now it says something
like it is slowly becoming, which is an upgrade. :-) (I think I have
this right, I'm going from memory).
