Strange: On my laptop:

popcorn-*/Sage/sage-4.5.3 $ cat /etc/SuSE-release 
openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11.3
popcorn-*/Sage/sage-4.5.3 $ which g++            
/usr/bin/g++
popcorn-*/Sage/sage-4.5.3 $ rpm -qf `which g++`
gcc-c++-4.5-4.2.x86_64

By the way, as you can see they themselve spell SuSE with a small "u" but
openSUSE ;-)
