That would be a very interesting idea; a "shadow" SAGE_LOCAL that took precedence over the normal SAGE_LOCAL. I can see that also being useful for testing spkgs, for example.

Martin: I don't know of a way to do that, and I imagine it would take a bit of work to implement and take care of any issues with each spkg.
