If you upload a patch to the trac server, you'll be using the patchbot.
It should automatically take the patches from a ticket, apply them, and
run doctests -- however, I've noticed that the patchbot badge (the red,
green, etc, circle on trac tickets) isn't showing up anymore. Is the
patchbot running?

The long-term plans are to merge the patchbot stuff into Sage so that
anyone can run it and automatically test patches.
