My house got hit by lightning last night and it blew my modem up (at least).
This is the second time I have suffered lightning damage, and both times it
appears to be via the phone line. So I'm going to get my telephone provider to
fit another lightning suppressor.
In the mean time, "hawk" is down. Although I've not tested it properly, it does
not appear to have suffered any damage. But I need to get another modem set up
before this will become accessible from the outside world.
