Everyone, please make this more accurate (e.g., sign up!) and think
about how to make the table even more awesome this year.
Here's one thing we did at the Mathfest table that turned out to be a
great thing. We had a poster hanging up with "Sage sessions" in a
variety of topics, where we'd co-opt the projector to talk about using
Sage to do things in various topics. For example, I think I
demonstrated using Sage in a linear algebra course, a calc 3 course,
numerical analysis, etc. Just short 10-15 minute presentations with
time for questions. Having the times listed up on the poster in the
booth meant that people often would walk by, note down a time, and then
come back for the short presentation. It was great.
So even if you can't "man the booth" for several hours, I think if you
could give a short introduction (<10 minutes) to Sage in some research
or teaching topic area, please sign up to do something like that at a
convenient time for you.
