Hello Dima, If you are a Chevie lover, you can already have it in Sage in a fully open-source way. As Jean pointed out, Chevie is also a GAP'3' <-- package. For this reason, Franco took the time to implement an optional interface to Gap3 (see #8380 and thanks to Franco one more time). That still optional but that's not a Maple constraint...
