Scratch is great. Its been very successful for me in introducing my daughter to programming.
I don't see much possible interaction with Sage, since Scratch is written in Squeak, and it has a custom (although quite permissive) license. It might provide some inspiration for making some sort of visual programming interface in the notebook though, perhaps as some sort of extension of @interacts. Besides the educational aspect, such an interface could be very useful to a variety of people such as modelers (I know a lot of biologists and some engineers who heavily use such things) or perhaps even in a business environment. -Marshall On Feb 27, 10:14 pm, Iftikhar Burhanuddin <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi folks, > > I found the Scratch project to be extremely interesting. > > http://scratch.mit.edu/http://m.good.is/post/should-3-year-olds-learn-computer-programming/ > > If this adds value to Sage's mis-/vi-sion is a different question. > > Regards, > Ifti -- To post to this group, send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URL: http://www.sagemath.org
