Is sage a distribution of mathematical software or a distribution? It's already replicating a good chunk of my ARM setup (it mostly lacks the kernel, emacs and latex)! I voted +1 for gcc as a standard non-mandatory (wink to Keshav) package ; I vote -1 for yet another standard mandatory package.
