Ah, so this is already known :) I thought I remembered something about this a couple of days ago... I haven't tried the patch yet but I've been bisecting over the 5.0 betas on sage.math and I've narrowed it down to betas 5, 6, 7, or 8, and the comments on #13057 say the intersphinx problem appearid in beta 7.
