I don't see this problem: I see a directory 'sage-plots-for-q.tex'. What 
version of sagetex are you running? Check q.log for a string like

   Package: sagetex 2012/01/16 v2.3.3-69dcb0eb93de 

Could PDFLaTeX be picking up an old copy of sagetex from somewhere else on 
your system?
