Unfortunately, I completely forgot about that ticket and haven't gotten
around to making that change.
+1 to Rob's suggestion (have RR/CC matrices convert to RDF/CDF
internally to do algorithms). The reason to use RR over machine floats
is for correct rounding (e.g., that last digit or so), but that is
getting completely swamped in the errors from the algorithm.
