So? What does it have to do with the fact that R is unbeatable about statistics? And it doesn't have to do with the fact that open source is better in general for a lot of well-known reasons (both technical and not technical). They also have a URLFetch thing, which Sage doesn't still have. This doesn't mean it can't be added in the future (in the latter case, just by including cURL).
