>From a friend of Sage...

So, ... couple of [my students] had a problem that I think the Sage
download server should warn about: They're running OS X.8, which has a
default preference to only run software downloaded through the App Store.
So what happened is that these folks downloaded and installed Sage, then
tried to run it and got an error about its unsigned/unverified nature---and
then the usual admin page popped up in their web browser window, but when
they tried to *do* anything they got "can't connect to server" errors.
Changing the system preference (and restarting Sage) fixed the problem.

This makes me think that there should be a note placed on the appropriate
download page, so folks are warned…

Sounds viable to me. Any other ideas? Presumably this can be considered a
problem, since we want people who know nothing about App Store prefs
downloading Sage :)
