There exists this model of "user groups" with regular meetings. "Hello, I'm
addicted to Sage for 1 1/2 years. Please help me with my integrals ... "

For "R", there is at least this long list:
http://blog.revolutionanalytics.com/local-r-groups.html
and this one is in Seattle:
http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-useR/
next meeting on Monday.

I'm not aware of any Sage user group, but if there is at least one other
person over here, *I'm happy to start one any time!*

And now the connexion: Such a pool of local groups would give you access to
many people you could contact for such introduction talks. They could even
organize something on their own and reach out locally.
